30++ Thai Dragon Hot Pepper Organic Seeds
Originally from Thailand, this seriously hot pepper makes a lovely impression in a patio container. The ornamental 8-12" plants are bedecked with up to 200 small fruits that ripen to bright red. The fruits grow to around 2-3in (5-7cm) long but can be harvested and used while still small and green. Extremely hot, the peppers can be used fresh or preserved in oil or vinegar. Dries and stores for 4 or 5 years without losing punch. Pick when bright red. Typical of Thai cooking, this hot chile releases a very strong lingering heat and registers between 50,000 and 100,000 Scoville units. They are utilised in Thai cuisine in stews, broths, stir fries, coconut soups, noodle dishes, and authentic Thai curry. Thai chilli peppers can be refrigerated, for up to two weeks. They can easily be dried or frozen for later use. Harvest about 90 days from transplant.
Peppers can be grown all year long in containers. It is suitable for apartment dwellers and gardeners who live in cool regions where the number of growing days are limited. All peppers are perennials, and make nice house-plants if grown in potting soil in 2-3 gallon pots, and taken indoors when the nights drop into the 40s.
